Food & Nutrition
Meals are cooked daily in the centres by qualified staff.
Meals have a balance of carbohydrates, protein vegetables
and fruit. We follow the Healthy Eating Policy as set
out by the South Eastern Health Board. Children who
are dropped in early may have breakfeast at the centre.
All children will get morning break and this differs
according to age. Followed at lunch time by a nutritious
dinner and then tea which may be hot or cold is served
around 4pm.
Our aim is to provide a varied and nutritional menu
which the childcen enjoy. By introducing different tastes
and textures at an early age we find that children are
not as fussy at eating as they get older. The menu for
each day is on display for parents to see.
We are happy to accommodate children who have special
dietary requirements.
